The Protector by Jodi Ellen Malpas

First of all I’m going to say that I was apprehensive of reading this book after the One Night’s debacle, I LOVE Jodi (Yes, in shouty capitals!) and also love her writing but Miller, just didn’t do it for me. I mean, after Jesse Ward, what can you expect?

I enjoyed this book a lot, since the beginning, it was a pleasant reading. I loved it! I really liked the story. I cried a little at the end, but happy tears, that was a sweet and cute end. I felt in love with Jake as I never thought it would be possible with one of JEM characters again, I mean, as I said, what can you expect after Jesse Ward, right? – Well, for me the answer was a handsome shadow, a hot/raw/alpha PROTECTOR with a killing instinct to have under his care his most precious possession: Camille, a true fighter, a strong woman, who has a really crazy arsehole for dad. I liked how during the reading you get to see how Camille is helping him to open to the light again, and I really didn’t expect that twist at the end, the true behind the photograph and his omission of the truth. Just Wow!

Thank you Jodi, for making me fall in love with another of your characters once again. I really never thought that would be possible after Jesse.

“One Night: Unveiled” by Jodi Ellen Malpas

I am tired of Miller Hart! Sorry but I didn’t like the book. 😦

I finished the book because I started it. And I liked the first two books of the trilogy This had never happened to me. Is such a weird feeling.

I was bored while reading it and I wanted my reading to end quickly. I couldn’t wait to finished. I kind off predict everything that happened, I got bored of Miller and his world, everything went crazy, her mom came back, Miller’s pimp was her dad and also William’s brother then, William was her dad who happened it was her pimp too at some point of their story. It was fucked up crazy! Then Miller is saved from his slavery, and they go to have sex, with out even a shower first? I mean, he was just minutes ago with other woman and now he goes and fucks Livy seven ways or Sunday! Wow. WTF? The epilogue was like this perfect kid, so f ing perfect and he is a little obsessed with things (socks) I don’t mind that, but he is too perfect, and people who have kids around know that all kids in the world have meltdowns, but Harry not, so is a little exasperating.

I didn’t feel anything, I didn’t get surprise, nothing impact me, it was a plane reading, no emotion, no sparks the only feeling that I had it was that I wanted to be over soon.

“One Night Denied” by Jodi Ellen Malpas

Ok, let’s start with Livy, I’m a little mad with her, I think she could been more strong, and more forthcoming with Miller, she was too permissive for my taste, but I can’t denied that their love is HUGE and kind of maniac. Livy is full of contradictions, one minute she hates Miller, she wants to hit Miller, and the next she wants Miller and she goes and have amazing/crazy/hot sex with Miller. As for Miller he is a box of surprises: volatile, explosive, unstable behavior but crazy In love with his light, with his habit and his thing!

My favorite part was the scene at the gym. On the climbing wall, OMG just like with the rowing machine (This Man) I would never look at a climbing wall the same way again.

One Night Promised by Jodi Ellen Malpas

This book will shock you, from beginning to an end, at 1st I just liked it, but when you focus your attention in this reading and stop thinking about the Lord, you can get to love these characters, is true Jodi set a high standar with This Man Trilogy, but I think you can put the Lord aside while you read Promise.

For me was a shocking reading, like I said I’m kind of obsessed with the Lord, but this is another work from Jodi, is a new one and a good one too. I didn’t love the story at the beginning, but why shocking? for the things you get to find out while you reading, is fun, is mature, is intriguing, is passionate, is hardcore at some point, but you will fall in love with M and Lily. For my the end was insane and leaving me wanting more, so I’m waiting for One Night Denied to see what is next in this story.

This Man Confessed by Jodi Ellen Malpas

When I thought that I couln’t fall all over again in love with Jesse and the This Man Trilogy, I was wrong.  Jodi gave us such a wonderful gift with her work last year, when for the first time she introduced us to This Man, and all about it: Ava, the Manor, the many ways of fucks, the story, everything about this man is over the top, is bigger than anything and the end of the trilogy could not been better…

The very place where their passionate love affair began, The Manor fills with guests on what should be the happiest day of Ava and Jesse’s lives. She has accepted that she’ll never tame the fierceness in Jesse, and she doesn’t want to. Their love is profound, their connection powerful, but just when she thinks that she’s finally got beneath his guarded exterior, more questions arise which lead Ava to believe that Jesse Ward may not be the man she thinks he is. He knows too well how to take her to a place beyond ecstasy…but will he also drive her to the brink of despair?

It’s time for this man to confess.

In This Man Confessed we have  a wedding, separation, reconcilation, honeymoon at Paradise, chasing cars, crash, threats, more ways of fuck, crazy ex lovers, drama; we found out the true about the missing pills, and everything it will brings.

In the wedding Jesse does the things at his way, getting Elizabeth (Ava’s Mom) crazy-ish, He goes his way all day, seeing the bride before the wedding, cuffing her, but what I really love about the wedding was the song of their first dance together “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol, that lyric is all Jesse, all what he wants for him, for her, for them, for their life. It was the perfect song!

Their love is tested when Jesse finally confess he stole Ava’s pills to keep her, she run, they both suffer, she goes partying, he is a twat to her, after a huge fight they go back together, then when they are happy and she decides to keep the baby, the stupid Matt ruins everything by letting Jesse know that she was having an abortion, they fight again… (at this point I was like: “If they get through this, they definitely will be together FOREVER!”) 

After a pretty crazy car chase,  and when they make sure Ava and the peanuts are ok, they travel to Paradise. Everything about paradise was perfect, their “normal”, the cards game to see  “Who has the power”, I really loved the “Sleepy twilight sex“,  after all kinds of crazy things you would think that – that’s it!, but NO, not when Jodi is writting the story 😉 at the final day in Paradise they run into Jesse’s parents at a restaurant, and that will bring a lot of huge secrets, that This Man will Confessed.

I really love the Ava wall. Wow!!! That was pretty much obsessed right?, Well, actually everthing about This Man screams OBSESSION!

They proved their love is unbreakable, Ava finally won the Lord, she changed him for good, she made him stop drinking and fucking around, he feels and love her. they shared a really hard love to each other.

I almost had a heart attack at the end when Jesse is at the hospital, I was praying too, for him, for them. Crazy-ish isn’t it? Yes, Jodi make us feel everything about this characters. I like what he did with The Manor, the best choise.

My favorite part: The Epiloge. Is PERFECT, is from Jesse’s POV, we get to know why the hell he is the way he is, we get to understand many of the things he did, or does. His jealousy for his wife and kids is just lovely, he is to f’ing cute, and sexy.

Beneath This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas

Hi everyone, Hapy New Year!

I hope all of you have a wonderful year, full with love, happines, laughs, and great memories…

I re-read Beneath this Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas.

She knew she was heading towards disaster. Every instinct told her to run, but Jesse Ward was a hard man to escape.

It has been five days’ since Ava O’Shea left Jesse drunk and raging at Lusso – left behind a man who drowned her in his intensity and blindsided her with his touch. Getting over this man was never going to be easy.

And now he’s back in her life.

She has questions that she needs answering, but her determination to get these answers will give the pleasure-seeking playboy the power to destroy her again. She needs to keep her eyes wide open and caution at the forefront of her mind – an ambitious intention when Jesse Ward is within touching distance.

And he plans to be.

He’s dark, he’s broken – Ava knows this, but the only way to find out how dark and how broken is to get beneath the steely exterior of this man.

So in Beneath this Man I found a Jesse replacing one addiction with another addiction, that is his obsession with Ava. 

Many mysteries of Jesse’s past are exposed, which test the crazy love between these two. Ava introduce us to “The true fuck” which tests Jesse’s honesty, patience and jealousy; putting an end to the age game, finally!

We discover that Jesse will do whatever it takes to be with Ava for the rest of their lifes, including trampling everything and everyone who gets in between them, trampling her family, friends and even work. A crazy-ish isn’t it?

I truly enjoyed once again this book , the sex scenes are extremely sensual , sexy and HOT , HOT , HOT !

Ok and the scene in the rowing machine? Oh. My. God!!! That’s the hottest, wildest, sensual and exciting, of all sex scenes, uff! … If you have not read the books and you are intrigued by them, the scene in the rowing machine is one of the reasons why you should do it, it will blow your mind, you are not going to regret it. 🙂

In Beneath This Man, Jodi show us a little more of this couple madly in love and obsessed with each other. I love the interaction between the characters, not just the main ones but all of them: Sam and Kate’s own story, the always bitchy and hateful Sarah, who plays an decisive role in this book, and in my opinion marks a before and after between Jesse and Ava’s relationship

I hope you enjoy the second part of the story, I love the trilogy and Jodi has done a phenomenal job in it… Anything ish about it!

Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying the holydays, with your family and friends… Hope you been nice and that Santa had brought you lots of presents…

I took some free time to re-read This Man by Jody Ellen Malpas

Young interior designer Ava O’Shea has an appointment for a first consultation at The Manor with the owner, Mr Jesse Ward. She is expecting nothing more than an overweight, cravat wearing, well-to-do countryman, and on arrival, nothing would suggest otherwise.

How wrong could she be?

This Man is devastatingly handsome, charming and confident. He is also a conceited, hedonistic playboy, who knows no boundaries.

Ava desperately does not want to be attracted to him, but she can’t control the overwhelming affect he has on her. Every instinct is telling her to run, so she does, but Jesse Ward is not so willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her.

She knows she is heading for heartbreak, but how can she run when he won’t let her?

When I re-read the book I couldn’t help but feeling the same again, everything is there. A men who is a sex God wanting this young desingner doesn’t matter what, I felt again the butterflies, the suspense, the sensuality, and the hottnest, the intensity… I was definitely back on Central Jesse Cloud Nine, and If I wasn’t maybe Jesse could make me a remind fuck… Lol

Once again the story left me conflicted, there are things that I love about it and there are some WTF? moments, but I love the story anyway, you can put the book down once you started, you want to know how it ends, the story is full of romance, a dominat character and a lot of mind blowing sex scenes that would make you sweat…

Jodi has an unique way to write, I love the British style of the book (I keep telling ARSE, Lol) the location and all the terms used. She writes and describes incredibles, direct, mind blowing sex scenes, and then take us to the sleepy, love making sex – both outrageous, sensuals and hot hot hot! Jesse, well he is way to bossy, he has zero respect for Ava’s privacy, but he has his reasons, and it is that Ava make him crazy, sometimes he is unbearable but I love him… In the other hand Ava doesn’t let to be intimidated by this man, she has her opinions, and like me at the end she falls for the Lord of the Manor.

It’s easy to be charmed by Jesse , after all, if you don’t, he would remind you 🙂

This Man: A trilogy you don’t want to miss

So last week I finished reading This Man Trilogy wrote by Jodi Ellen Malpas, let me tell you, these books are beyond great.

Jodi started writing her first story secretly in November 2011, after work and at weekends, and it was finish by May 2012. This Man Trilogy was originally released last November as eBooks, on Amazon, because many agents rejected her work (how fool are they feeling now right?) Lol… So Jodi decided to self-publish it.

But don’t worry and Unravel your knickers Ladies, because the trilogy is soon to be published as paperback this November… Yay! In fact Jodi tweeted a picture of the book, on September 25, with the caption: “I’m taking Jesse to bed tonight, ladies!”

The story is about Jesse Ward, a muscular 6ft 3in ‘love god with dirty blonde hair, green eyes and a curiously minty odour’. Basically he is handsome, charming and confident, and runs a sex hotel called The Manor, but gets obsessed with Ava O’Shea, since the first moment he saw her, and they embarks on an all- consuming love affair. Ava is a 26 years old interior designer.

There are a lot if steamy sex (no -ish about it) scenes, in everywhere, since kitchen counters, limousines and on private jets. Also there is a little bit of BDSM.

Sometimes you get to hate Jesse, but and the end you will fall hard in love with him, at least I did, I still am.
